SILK SAREE

Saree is one of the symbol for our Indian culture. Many people used to like wearing silk saree, Half saree etc.. It gives a traditional look for us. All we like the designs, all we like the beauty of tradition in wearing a saree but very less people know that efforts to make a beautiful handloom saree. Here there are many powerloom sarees are there which are looking good, less time to prepare, low cost sarees etc but when we compared to handloom with powerloom there it takes more time, pure silk ( that's why the cost  is high for handloom), quality is more but here the problem is weaver doesn’t getting worth the money.

Look at this saree design and think how much cost can you offered for it? Literally many people shouldn't know but you are paying high amount for theese type of handloom sarees. But the weaver getting very low salary for this saree. Most of the people know that Dharmavaram , Pochampalli, Uppada etc are famous for the handloom Weaving. But they are going to be die in few years because of powerloom sarees and we are going to getting a cheap quality saree which is coming from powerloom. I remember that before corona we are happy but during corona I saw the most damaging thing to weavers entered in Dharmavaram and then I saw the decreasing value of handloom saree.

I know how much time took to complete this handloom saree. It takes 1 week to complete this beautiful saree. Some people think like it's like office job like starts from 10am to 5pm. But it's not correct if the weaver gets up 4 or 4 30 am in the early morning he will starts Weaving but he will end this at 8 30 or 9 pm at night but he is getting only 3000 to 4500. Yes it's based on the designs but its not worth for it. But the mediator is getting 20,000 to 25,000 for this type of sarees.In few days the value will decrease and we may not see a pure silk saree which is prepared with handloom. 

   Dharmavaram is now calling as silk city of Andhra Pradesh I wish that it will continue as this.
